The American mindset, that's how we prefer the divide
In every realm of life, you're either 'In" or on the outside looking in
And for those on the outside, the in crowd runs yours life
The system sustained, maintained in a way that keeps the privileged privileged through and through
They offer a slice of the American Pie to all men, but the list excludes
A mirage in the sand, a carrot on the end of a stick that keeps you slogging through
The illusion that hard work alone will get you through promulgated by the guy who hired you
This pie's not big enough (who the fuck are you?)
For us all to have enough (enough defined by who?)
When so few have so much (don't tell me what to do)
